Cord Cutting & Healing Circle with Mary Jo

Tuesday Nov. 28th 7 pm Sukha South

Friday Dec. 1st 11:00 am Sukha South

Get ready for December’s Full Moon and utilize the energy and power of this SuperMoon. The time of the full moon is the perfect time for closure and completion, to gain awareness or insight into situations or to let go of what no longer serves you.  Come join us to clear your energy field of negative energies and cut the cords to all relationships, feelings, and unhealthy situations that do not bring you peace and joy. As the holiday season approaches it’s easy to let old emotions and patterns keep us stuck in doing things the same "old" way. Enjoy this holiday season with a fresh outlook and as 2017 comes to a close, get ready to step into the New Year with a clean start!

Reasons to cut cords:

  • Unable to move on
  • Unable to stop thinking or obsessing about a person
  • Frequent conversations in your mind with a person
  • Frequently remembering what they said in the past, feeling their ongoing judgment or criticism
  • Arguments, sometimes daily in your mind with someone (these can be actual psychic arguments)
  • Constant memories or emotions that arise - i.e. we used to watch that show together
  • Temptation to go back to a relationship that does not serve you
  • Stalking another online through social networking, watching them compulsively
  • Unable to sleep, experiencing amnesia
  • You seem to endless process the past and what happened there
  • Deep feelings of sadness, anger, and depression around the past
  • Feelings of wanting to get revenge, or constantly aware of unfair treatment
  • Crying a whole lot, an emotional wreck
  • Turning down other offers and invitations, feeling uninterested
  • Becoming stuck in the past, not looking for new opportunities

Come relax, recharge, and rejuvenate! Because we limit the number of participants we ask that you pre-register on the SUKHA app or in person to secure your spot.

SUKHA "The Non-Intimidating" Yoga Studio Turns 2

Happy Birthday SUKHA and to everyone who has been along on this amazing ride.

Two years.

Two years of tears, fears, singing and dancing.

Two years of falling, flying, laughing and crying

Two years of fun

Good days and not so good days.

We made friends that are now family.

Some lost family and friends unexpectedly. We were present. On the mat and off. We walked and talked.

We had broken hearts, but we  flowed to mend them.

Pub crawls and paddle boards.

Concerts and Yards.

Funny guest dharmas and ones that made the tears roll

Music.....Oh the music

Jokes....OH MY....THE JOKES

The classes started with me and a shy blonde. We spoke, we flowed, we practiced and flew like eagles, grew like trees and blossomed like  two beautiful flowers. (I won't get to descriptive on the flowers. I will leave that up to her)

First it was one. Then it was three (+ me). Amy, Alison, Michelle and me. We flew and grew. And so did the classes. As my friends shared and spoke of this place in a kindergarten classroom, so did the family. Day by day.

To some it was not a "real" yoga studio. For many, it is more than that.

It started small. With no "marketing scheme" in mind. No copying or mimicking. Just being me.

How? Let me tell you.

I followed MY heart. How I felt. How I wanted to teach. How yoga made me feel walking in to a studio. No clicks. No whispering. No silence. No judging. Good music and talking about life. Real life.

There are things you just can not duplicate. You can write it, post it, and attempt it. If you are not yourself, it may not work so take note.

My heart lead me to a classroom and a amazing space in Brick Township. One vision, a big heart and AMAZING people.

Heart, drive, passion and  people that believed in me.

Thank you to the "friends" that said I could never do it. And the ones that don't talk to me anymore. You continue to motivate me everyday.

Happy Birthday my friends and family.

Thank you for listening.

Thank you for understanding when I mess up.

Thank you for wiping the tears.

Thank you your continued support.

Thank you for making me smile.

Thank you for ALWAYS having my back.

Thank you for being your TRUE authentic self.

Thank you for trusting me and the amazing teachers at SUKHA.

You all hold a special place in my heart. You are all doing so great with your practice. Keep it up. This world needs more people like you. Compassionate, kind, mindful, gentle, disciplined, aware and enlightened.

You are not just practicing when you are in a pose, you're practicing when you delete crappy people out of your life so your mental energy is not consumed by hating or judging and can be directed to more beautiful and useful things, like becoming the amazing person you already are.

Yoga is life changing.

Yoga changes your body.

Yoga changes your mind.

Yoga changes your emotions.

Yoga changes your attitude.

Yoga changes your life.

It has certainly changed mine.

Here's to many more years on the mat and off.

Thank you my friends.

More AMAZING news to come.

Go Back To The Basics

SUKHA "The Non-Intimidating" Yoga Studio.

Is SUKHA for beginners only? That seems to be what people think. The answer is no. SUKHA is for everyone. Yoga is a practice for the mind, body and soul whether you have been practicing for 1 day or 15 years. We learn new poses everyday. So, EVERYONE is a beginner. No one knows it all. We are not GOOGLE.

Just like life, we learn something new every day.

Leave the ego at the door. There is no need to look for the toughest teachers and force yourself to get into the toughest pose. Why? So you can post a really fast picture on Instagram and walk out limping?

Advance your practice by going back to the basic fundamentals.

Every teacher has a different way of approaching a pose and describing it. All of the teachers at SUKHA have a different way of teaching. We make sure everyone in the room is comfortable no matter what level.

We all have a different "personal practice". It doesn't mean we teach that way.

We ALL modify every class accordingly based on each students level. That is what teachers do. We accommodate; modify and support. EVERYONE! EVERY CLASS!

Open up your mind, maybe go back to the beginners mindset and be proud of how far you have come.

There are two workshops approaching soon at SUKHA.

This Saturday, June 17th at 10:30, join Maria Preuster for a Back Bending workshop.  Learn the fundamentals as your open your heart and your mind.

Saturday, July 15th at 10:30, join Melanie for "Yoga FUNdamentals". Whether you are new to yoga, or don't know your asana from your elbow, this workshop is for you. Build confidence on and off the mat by going back to the basics. From breath work to modifications. First class or 101st class. We can all use a refresher.

All welcome. Except EGO. They can be left at the door.
